100 Quilts for Kids
&
Quilters’ Highlights
The 2014 Hostess of 100 Quilts For Kids is Heather. Her blog is Quilts in the Queue.
100 Quilts for Kids is an annual charity quilt drive. It runs from August 01 through September 30, 2014.
From its beginning in 2010 to present the goal is to encourage quilters donate a quilt to a child in need. The quilters who take part will be entered into a drawing to win prizes donated by Sponsors of 100 Quilts for Kids 2014.
How to join copied from Quilt in the Queue.
100 Quilts for Kids Link Up Party! Here’s how to join in:
- Make a quilt (finishing a quilt in progress also counts!)
- Donate a quilt to a child in need tothe charity of your choice.
- Link up your quilt using the linky tool. Finished quilts only please – no work in progress shots. You can link using a photo from a blog post, Instagram, Flickr, Facebook, or a Threadbias account. Use the 100 Quilts for Kids button or
#100quilts4kids or otherwise mention the event and how others can get involved. Be sure that you indicate where your quilt was donated.
- Be entered to win some of our fabulous prizes! Each quilt linked up will be one chance to win! See the list of sponsors linked above for a list of the prizes. Please note that prizes thatrequire shipping (fabric bundles, books, paper patterns, etc) are only open to US participants. Not to worry – there are many PDF patterns and gift certificates available for international friends!

DC Modern Quilt Guild
“Katie (Blakesley) (photos below) started the 100 Quilts for Kids quilt drive several years ago when she was a member of DC Modern, so we owe a lot to her in terms of starting this wonderful tradition in our guild,” as found on the DC Modern Quilt Guild website.
