Cut Cut Sew
Kelly is the author of Cut Cut Sew where she posts photos of the clothing & accessories she has sewn. The photos are beautifully taken and she cuts a striking figure modeling her creations. With her photos Kelly shares with the reader the pattern & fabric used, any alterations of the pattern and why she chose the particular fabric for that project.
In the post entitled, “Me Made May“ Kelly shared her observations about her wardrobe. She says, ” I think what I learned was pretty common- I need more pants. I like to wear separates. If I wear a dress I prefer it to be a maxi. I want to make a jean jacket. I pose with my hand on my hip too much .” What I found fascinating was her closet is full of clothes she has made for herself. She says, “I have no desire to shop in stores anymore.”

All of the above photos were originally posted on Cut Cut Sew and the ownership is same.
On her “About Me” page Kelly introduces herself as a person who learned the basics of sewing as a child. She didn’t “get into it seriously” until she became a mother. The first thing she made was a “Shopping Cart Cover,” writes Kelly. She got the pattern on Etsy Inc©

Giveaway Announcement
Threads® magazine and Go-Organize™ have teamed up to give ONE lucky winner a $100.00 cash coupon to be used at Go-Organize.com.
In order to register you must leave a comment on the giveaway announcement page about how you would use the organization system in your sewing room.
This storage solution giveaway is a first for Threads® magazine. Sewing rooms are more functional when organized. For example mine looks as if someone threw a grenade in there. Much as I try I can’t seem to get it just right. I believe it would be easier for me to clean up and put tools away if I had a place for everything. I get so frustrated trying to sort through my desktop &/or the hundreds (literally) of plastic boxes I can’t see through. Even owning a labeling machine hasn’t helped.
Even if I don’t win I am going to buy from Go Organize™ a bit at a time (what the budget will allow). However, $100.00 would be a great start!
The contest closes on October 01.2014 at 12:59 P.M. EST. “The winner will be randomly selected from qualified entries, as determined by the editors of Threads magazine. The winner will be announced the week of October 6, 2014 and contacted via email,” as seen on the website.
See official contest rules for complete details.
