MAKE HATS FOR NEWBORN BABIES
As seen on Stitch and Unwind Blog crochet and knit hats are being collected to donate to the labor and delivery unit at Northwest Community Hospital. Beginning February 11 ending March 11, 2013. Once you have completed your hat(s) there is an address to mail the finished hats to on the blog.
These hats will be given to babies leaving the hospital. As you know this winter is really bad and I am certain the babies will appreciate having their tiny heads covered with our donated hats.
There are specifications for the hats. Yellow is the only color that is taboo as the color can make the baby appear jaundice. Any other color will be accepted. There is suggested, but optional, patterns for crocheted and knitted as well as the link to Baby Hat Patterns on AllFreeCrochet;

My goal is to crochet one hat every other day from today until March 10th for a total of ten. I say every other day because I crochet very slowly.
By the way, there is one more thing… Participants are eligible to win yarn from Bernat®. The prize is yarn to make two different baby blankets. One set of colors is Baby Green, Baby Yellow and White. The other is a Vicky Howell yarn; “Sheep(ish). The colors are Taupe(ish), White(ish) and Turquoise(ish). To enter send in a hat. The winner will be randomly selected.
Don’t forget any color can be used for these babies’ hats EXCEPT YELLOW!
